HELLO #HAPPYPERIOD: GOODBYE PERIOD POVERTY
We’re super excited to announce we’ve teamed up one of our all-time favourite non-profits, #HappyPeriod. Founded by the inspirational Chelsea VonChaz, they’re doing amazing work in the US educating and removing stigma in the menstrual health space - as well as working directly with people living in hardship to provide safe and accessible period products.
From October 2020, we’ll be donating 10% of net profits from Hello Cup Black Cups sold via our USA store (that’s right here!) directly to #HappyPeriod. We’ll also be providing Hello Cups with instructional guides for the team to distribute to groups they support in the community.
This initiative is part of our Hello Kindness programme where we support groups we admire to keep doing their amazing work.

What’s the issue?
In the United States, many people with periods struggle with affordability and access to period products. According to a 2019 study, almost two-thirds of low-income women surveyed couldn’t afford access to menstrual care. By partnering with #HappyPeriod, we hope to help reach those struggling to access sustainable period care through our menstrual cups.
About the Black Hello Cup...
Meet the Hello Cup Black.
A little gothic yet sophisticated at the same time - there’s no denying black is the new black.
About #HappyPeriod Organization
#HappyPeriod was founded by Chelsea VonChaz and her mother, Cherryl Warner in February 2015. The organization works to spread awareness on menstrual health, eliminate the stigma surrounding menstruation, and provide people with periods options that are good for their wallet, their body, and the planet. The organization believes that providing education and access to safe products is essential, especially for those living in poverty or experiencing homelessness.

Vaginal cup, period cup, menstrual cup... Whatever you call it, The Hello Cup is a great choice.
It’s worth remembering that we don’t recommend buying your cup based on your flow alone. Instead, sizing is based on fitness and age.
Our XS is our smallest, softest cup. It’s the perfect choice for teenagers, petite users or those who prefer a ‘mini’ tampon.
Our S/M is our ‘one size fits most’ menstrual cup. We recommend it for users under 35 – regardless of whether they have had children or not.
Our L (L for ‘Lovely’) is best for those over 35 who feel it’s a bit more roomy up there.
It’s worth noting that we find physically fit people are often best suited to the S/M regardless of age. If you’re uncertain, Hello Double Boxes are a great option to help you find which size works best for you. Many people find they can wear two sizes.
